Here are 3 quick tips for upping your SEO Game so you and SEO can become BFFs and not enemies. Look, SEO doesn’t have to be the enemy. Really it just wants to be your business bff. It’s what helps people find your business on search engines after all!
There are a lot of nifty tools that can help you work your SEO magic, and I’m going to share three of my faves with you! You can also head over to my Mondays with Mel video here for a video walkthrough.
1. Google Trends
Google literally shares with you all the stats about the keywords you look up. You can play around with different phrases and see which ones are searched the most on google. Play around with short tail and long tail key words and make a list in excel or word to you can see them all in one place!
2. Yoast SEO
AKA your BFF for wordpress plugins… outside of things like Monster Insights and such! Yoast helps you easily update your page titles, meta descriptions, and gives you recommendations for doing better with your page. It even gives you recommendations about readability. Though you should take it with a grain of salt at times, it does give a lot of great pointers!
3. Keywords Everywhere Extension
Struggling with looking up different keywords? Keywords everywhere will help you out friend! You can find yourself in a keyword rabbit hole honestly, but in all the best ways. Tie this together with google trends to see which ones are researched the most and start piecing them together with your Yoast SEO plugin!
With these three tools you can start upping your seo game through keyword research and implementation. Yay Google help!
